Requirements for Volunteering

Requirements for Volunteering

If you're considering a volunteer position with St. Vincent dePaul, thank you! Without the continued dedication and support of volunteers, we could not provide services to our neighbors in need.

All volunteers are required to:

  • complete an application
  • read and sign off on
  • the SVdP Volunteer Code of Ethics
  • the SVdP Safeguarding Policy
  • the SVdP Code of Conduct
  • the SVdP Procedure for Reporting Abuse
  • the WSDA Annual Civil Rights training
  • complete a training program through VIRTUS Online
  • undergo a background check through People Facts Trak1

All forms and information regarding these requirements are available through our office.

We also ask that new members attend a full day in-person Ozanam Orientation within the first year of volunteering. More information is available on the National SVdP website, https://members.ssvpusa.org/our-members/

We hope that after prayerfully considering a volunteer position with our Conference, you will visit our facility on Stapleton Road and join us in our Mission.
